Getting from Incheon Airport to Seoul

Incheon International Airport is Korea's main gateway, and getting into Seoul is straightforward. Here are your three main options, from cheapest to most convenient.

1. AREX train

The Airport Railroad Express (AREX) connects the airport to Seoul Station.

All-stop train: the budget option; pay with your T-money card.

For the all-stop train to Seoul Station, the adult transit-card fare is KRW 4,750 from Terminal 1 and KRW 5,350 from Terminal 2 (checked July 2026).

Express train: faster, fewer stops, a separate ticket.

Buy a T-money card at the airport before you head to the platform — you'll use it for the whole trip.

Seoul Station connects to the subway, so you can continue almost anywhere.

2. Airport bus (limousine bus)

Airport buses run to many neighborhoods and drop you closer to your hotel than the train, with room for luggage. Look for the ticket booths and route boards in the arrivals hall — staff can point you to the right number for your area.

Buses are great if your accommodation isn't near a station, or if you have heavy bags and don't want to transfer.

3. Taxi

Taxis are available 24/7 outside arrivals. They're the most expensive option and can be slow in traffic, but they're door-to-door. Use a card or cash, and have your destination saved in Korean to show the driver.

Late arrival?

If you land after the trains and buses stop for the night, a taxi may be your only option. Budget accordingly.
