Free, ungated and open around the clock — and governed by a fine schedule most visitors never read. Camping or cooking outside a designated spot is KRW 1,000,000 for a first offence, and parking outside a marked bay is KRW 50,000.

- The park is open around the clock, all year, with no gate and no admission. The information centre's two lines are how the operator prints them, side by side in one cell. Sun shelters may be pitched only in the two designated zones, only from March to November, and there is no charge. Fines apply year-round under the Han River Park ordinance: KRW 1,000,000 for camping or cooking outside a designated area, 100,000 for leaving picnic rubbish, 50,000 for parking outside a bay and for an unleashed dog, 30,000 for littering. Parking is 2,000 won for the first 30 minutes then 300 per 10 minutes, capped at 15,000 a day, and is free on the day before, the day of and the day after Seollal and Chuseok.

Accessibility and facilities
For children there is Mulbit Plaza, downstream of Mapo Bridge on the south bank, and a playground downstream of Wonhyo Bridge. The plaza runs its fountain from April to October (peak July and August) as a paddling area 15 cm deep, and is used for small performances in winter.
The operator lists the park's amenities as four shops, five car parks, one playground, 24 toilets, plus drinking fountains, sun shelters and seating.

A department store inside the Parc1 complex on Yeouido. Indoor gardens and a waterfall run between the shop floors, and plenty of people walk a lap of it without buying anything.
Jangwon Bugeoguk
A dried-pollack soup house on Yeouido, its milky broth loosened with tofu and egg; it opens early and closes in the afternoon.
Jinjujip Yeouido
A house known for its chilled soybean noodles, with bibim-guksu and chicken kalguksu beside them.
Noryangjin Fisheries Market
The only market here that never closes for the night: wholesale and retail run around the clock, and the auction is a separate event with its own schedule.

Can I have a barbecue or use a camping stove?
Only in a designated area. Camping, cooking or lighting a fire anywhere else carries a fine of 1,000,000 won for a first offence, rising to 2,000,000 and 3,000,000 for repeats — the heaviest penalty on the park's list.
Is there parking?
Five car parks, at Wonhyo Bridge upstream, Mapo Bridge south, Seogang Bridge south, Yeoui 2 Bridge and Saetgang Ecological Park. Parking anywhere outside a marked bay is a 50,000 won fine.
