Accessibility and facilities

The cycle path runs from the mouth of the Yeouido Saetgang all the way to Gayang Bridge, and the hire point is beside the first Yanghwa toll booth under the Dangsan rail bridge.

The Yanghwa paddling pool, upstream of Seongsan Bridge on the south side, holds 600 people and is 0.8 m deep, built shallow for children. It opens each summer. There is an open-air ssireum ring two minutes' walk downstream of Seonyu Bridge, and football, basketball and volleyball courts with outdoor gym equipment in front of the cruise-boat landing.

On the water are a practical-test course for the Coast Guard's boat licence and a Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries training centre, along with pedal and motor boats, a floating restaurant and a sightseeing water taxi. Exit 4 of Dangsan station connects to the park by footbridge and has a lift.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a step-free way into the park?

Exit 4 at Dangsan reaches the park over a 200 m footbridge, and the operator states that the route has a lift. Exit 1 goes through the Dangsan underpass instead; both take about ten minutes.

Can I hire a bicycle?

There is a hire point beside the first Yanghwa toll booth under the Dangsan rail bridge. It is one of the smaller ones, so it closes for the winter from November to February and runs 11:00–20:00 from March to October. A standard single bike is 3,300 won an hour and a tandem 6,600.

When does the paddling pool open?

Each summer. It sits upstream of Seongsan Bridge on the south side, holds 600 people and is 0.8 m deep, built shallow for children. The operator gives the season only as summer and publishes neither exact dates nor a price.
