National Maritime Museum of Korea
국립해양박물관
A national museum built out over the water at Dongsam-dong on Yeongdo, and the one indoor place that takes Busan's identity as a port head-on. Saturday closing is 21:00 only from May to August and 19:00 the rest of the year, so a summer evening and a winter one are not the same plan.

Nearby

Busan Coast Guard Station
A working coast guard station. There are no visiting hours, no admission and no tour, so seeing the seafront building from outside is the whole of a visit.

Taejongdae Resort Park
Choose between walking the hilly loop and using the Danubi Train; train hours, queues, and weather closures are separate from the park's general access.

Busandaegyo Bridge
A steel arch bridge linking Yeongdo to the old city centre. It can be crossed on foot, and Busan Port opens up from the middle of it.

Kangkangee Arts Village
A village where the repair yards still run. The name comes from the sound of hammers on rusted hulls, and the workshops share its lanes with small cafés.

- Five Ways to See the Sea in Busan — an Island, Two Beaches, a Coastal Train, and One Indoors
Five places in Busan where the sea is seen differently: the skywalk at the cliff edge above Oryukdo, surfing at Songjeong and sunset at Dadaepo, the old rail line turned tourist route at Haeundae Blue Line Park, and the national museum built out over the water. Four are free; one charges.
