Houses pressed along a sea cliff on Yeongdo, with a narrow path running beneath them beside the water. Where Gamcheon is colour on a hillside, this is cliff and open sea, and its history is its own — settled by refugees during the Korean War. People live in these lanes; do not block their doors.

History
Before Jeoryeong-ro was built, Huinnyeoul-gil was the only route to Taejongdae. Older houses were remodelled in December 2011, making the area an arts and culture village where life on Yeongdo can be experienced; it is now a cultural village community involving local residents.
