UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea
The only United Nations cemetery in the world, holding the war dead of the countries that fought in the Korean War. For a visitor from one of those countries it is the clearest reason to be in Busan. It is a cemetery rather than a sight, and it closes an hour earlier in winter.
Pyeongsanok
A pork suyuk house run by four generations over a century, serving noodles in the broth the pork was boiled in.
Baegil Pyeongnaeng
A Pyongyang naengmyeon house whose broth is meat stock and salt alone, with noodles of 80 per cent buckwheat; it also serves northern-style dumpling soup and hanwoo bulgogi.

Forty Stairs Street
A stairway and the street below it, kept as a memorial to Korean War refugees. Sculptures and a culture hall explain that period.
