What to eat in Incheon depends on which part of the city you are visiting. Choose jajangmyeon or sundae for a Chinatown and Sinpo-dong day, and naengmyeon or monkfish when you are in Michuhol-gu.

The hours and closing days below come from the city tourism portal's restaurant pages. Prices are based on the menu sources for each restaurant and may change.

Choose by area

  • Gonghwachun — Chinatown

A straightforward choice for Gonghwachun jajangmyeon or jjamppong during a Chinatown visit.

  • Sinpo Sundae — Sinpo-dong

A convenient stop for sundae and stir-fried tripe near Sinpo Market. It closes every Wednesday.

  • Byeonganae Ongjin Naengmyeon — Michuhol-gu

Come here for a cold bowl of broth naengmyeon. It closes on Sundays.

  • Seongjin Multeombeongi — Michuhol-gu

Choose agu-tang or agu-jjim when several people can share a larger dish.

How to fit them into a day

Gonghwachun and Sinpo Sundae suit a day around Chinatown, the Open Port area and Sinpo Market. Pick one full meal rather than scheduling both just because they are in the same part of town.

Byeonganae Ongjin Naengmyeon and Seongjin Multeombeongi are in Michuhol-gu, so plan them separately from Chinatown and the Open Port area. Check closing days before mapping the route: the naengmyeon restaurant closes on Sunday, while Sinpo Sundae closes on Wednesday.

If you only have time for one meal

Gonghwachun fits a Chinatown visit, while Sinpo Sundae is closer to a walk around Sinpo Market. In Michuhol-gu, choose naengmyeon for a simple meal or share monkfish soup or braise with a group.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I eat in Chinatown?

Gonghwachun is inside Chinatown. Its signature dishes are Gonghwachun jajangmyeon and jjamppong, and the currently published hours are 10:00–21:30.

Which restaurant fits a visit to Sinpo Market?

Sinpo Sundae is the natural fit. Its signature dish is smoked sundae and tripe stir-fry, and it closes on Wednesdays.

Which restaurants can I visit on Sunday?

Byeonganae Ongjin Naengmyeon closes on Sundays. Consider Gonghwachun, Sinpo Sundae or Seongjin Multeombeongi after checking holiday and temporary closures.

Can I visit all four restaurants in one day?
