Suncheonman National Garden
순천만국가정원
The half-price night ticket is the thing to understand before buying. It goes on sale at 17:00, and the operator publishes a list of what has already shut by then — the zoo, the therapy garden, then the big wheel and the Sky Cube. The wetland it will not admit you to at all.

One ticket, several places
A ticket is valid for the day it is bought, and a National Garden ticket also admits you to Suncheonman Bay Wetland 7km away. Coming the other way, show the wetland ticket at the gate. The discounted night ticket is the exception: it does not admit you to the wetland.

Geomok Sundae Gukbap
A sundae-gukbap house in Pungdeok-dong. Its Century Shop citation records that from 1996 it put bean sprouts in the soup and served the rice apart — the first in Suncheon to do so.

Suncheonman Wetland
Almost everything here is built to be hard to see. The street lamps were cut down to head height and fitted with reflectors so the light would not reach roosting birds, the boardwalk and signs were designed to disappear when viewed from a bird's altitude, and the rest shelters are made from scrapped boats. Read the site as a set of decisions about birds and it stops looking like a park.
Frequently asked questions
How much is the Sky Cube and can I ride it on its own?
8,000 won return or 6,000 one way for an adult, 6,000 / 5,000 for a primary-age child, with lower resident and group rates. You cannot ride it without a garden ticket — it is sold at the station to people who have already entered.
How long does the Sky Cube take to reach the wetland?
It does not reach it. The Sky Cube runs 4.6 km from Garden Station to Suncheonman Station in 10 minutes, and the free reed train covers the last 1.2 km to Mujingyo bridge in 7 more.
Is the annual pass worth it?
For a non-resident it is 30,000 won and covers a year, so it pays for itself on the third visit. Suncheon residents pay 10,000, and resident youth and children are free. Passes are issued at the pass office by the east and west gates.
How do I get there from Suncheon Station?
Bus 66 from the stop opposite the station to the National Garden (east gate) stop, about 21 minutes at flat city-bus fare.
