What to see
Jaesil (Ritual House)
The ritual house is both the working quarters of the officials who managed the tomb and the place where the memorial rites were prepared.

Gongneung
Gongneung is the tomb of Queen Jangsun of the Han clan, first queen of Yejong, the 8th king of Joseon. She died in 1461 while still crown princess, and the following year a crown princess’s grave was laid out on this site under the name Jangsunbinmyo. In 1470 she was raised to queen and the grave renamed Gongneung. Its mound has neither a screen of stone panels nor a balustrade; around it stand civil figures, stone horses, a stone lantern, an offering table and stone sheep and tigers.

Sulleung
Sulleung is the tomb of Queen Gonghye of the Han clan, first queen of Seongjong, the 9th king of Joseon. When she died in 1475 the tomb was laid out here, beside her elder sister’s Gongneung. It is the only one of the three tombs at Paju Samneung built to the full royal-tomb form, because she alone died holding the rank of queen.

Yeongneung
Yeongneung is the tomb of Jinjong, raised to emperor posthumously, and Empress Hyosun of the Jo clan. It takes the twin-mound form, the two mounds set side by side inside one curved screen wall: seen from the front, Jinjong lies on the left (west) and Empress Hyosun on the right (east). Below the mounds two stele pavilions hold three tablets — one for Crown Prince Hyojang, one for King Jinjong and one for Emperor Jinjong — because a new one was raised each time his rank was.

Three royal tombs and two princely graves, and beside them the royal placenta chambers gathered here from all over the country under Japanese rule — where what became of them can be seen at once.
Goyang Stadium
Since Seoul World Cup Stadium restricted pitch-level hire to protect its grass, this has become the capital region's most-used stadium for concerts. It is in Goyang, not Seoul.
Olleung Royal Tomb
The tomb of Queen Dangyeong, Jungjong’s first queen. She was buried as a deposed consort and restored some 180 years later, at which point the grave became a royal tomb. It is one of the few Joseon royal tombs that charges no admission.
KINTEX
The exhibition and convention complex at Ilsan in Goyang, whose halls are turned over to large fan meetings and awards shows. It is in Gyeonggi rather than Seoul, so the journey from a Seoul hotel is its own calculation.
