Olleung Royal Tomb
온릉
The tomb of Queen Dangyeong, Jungjong’s first queen. She was buried as a deposed consort and restored some 180 years later, at which point the grave became a royal tomb. It is one of the few Joseon royal tombs that charges no admission.

What to see
Olleung
Olleung is the tomb of Queen Dangyeong of the Sin clan, first queen of Jungjong, the 11th king of Joseon. She died in 1557 as a deposed consort and was buried on this site. In 1739 she was restored as Queen Dangyeong, the grave was renamed Olleung and rebuilt to the form of a royal tomb. Its mound has neither a screen of stone panels nor a balustrade; around it stand civil figures, stone horses, a stone lantern, an offering table, stone pillars and stone sheep and tigers.
