Ojukheon House
The house where Shin Saimdang lived and her son Yi I was born — among the oldest surviving Joseon dwellings, with the room called Mongnyongsil held to be his birthplace. The Yulgok Memorial Hall and the Gangneung Currency Exhibition Hall stand in the same grounds, so the woman on the 50,000-won note and the son on the 5,000-won note can be seen together in the house they lived in.
Jumunjin Breakwater
A concrete groyne built out to stop the sand washing away. Several stand in a row along the beach, so which one the drama used is a question best settled on the spot.

Why is the coffee street in Gangneung?
It began with the coffee vending machines that lined Anmok Beach; cafes filled in around them until the row became a street. The city has run an annual coffee festival each October since.
Is it worth coming in winter?
The cafes trade year-round and the sea view is an indoor one. East-coast winter wind is strong, though, so plan for more sitting and less walking than you would in summer.
