Ojukheon House
오죽헌
The house where Shin Saimdang lived and her son Yi I was born — among the oldest surviving Joseon dwellings, with the room called Mongnyongsil held to be his birthplace. The Yulgok Memorial Hall and the Gangneung Currency Exhibition Hall stand in the same grounds, so the woman on the 50,000-won note and the son on the 5,000-won note can be seen together in the house they lived in.

Ttungbo Naengmyeon
A naengmyeon house opened in Imdang-dong in 1992; its citation rests on using only Korean buckwheat.
Chodang Halmeoni Sundubu
A sundubu house in the Chodang tofu village. Its Century Shop citation records that the curd is set daily with Korean beans and seawater brine from the East Sea.

Gangneung Coffee Street
A seafront row of roastery cafes along Anmok Beach, where most shops roast their own beans and seat you facing the water. The street keeps no hours of its own — each cafe sets them — so check the one you are aiming for.
Jumunjin Breakwater
A concrete groyne built out to stop the sand washing away. Several stand in a row along the beach, so which one the drama used is a question best settled on the spot.
