Incheon's Old Treaty Port and Wolmido in One Day
A one-day route from Incheon Station through Chinatown, Freedom Park, the old treaty-port streets and Sinpo International Market, followed by the Wolmi Sea Train and Wolmido. It also explains Monday closures, museum last admission and the train timetable.

This one-day route starts in Chinatown opposite Incheon Station, continues on foot through Freedom Park and the old treaty-port streets, stops for a meal at Sinpo International Market, and then uses the Wolmi Sea Train to reach Wolmido. Most of the treaty-port section is walkable, although the streets around Chinatown and Freedom Park include slopes. Check a map app for the day's route from Sinpo Market back towards Wolmi Sea Station.
This itinerary does not work well on a Monday. The treaty-port museums and the Wolmi Sea Train close on Mondays, while Sinpo International Market also closes on the first Monday of each month. Check each venue's closure rules and choose another day for the full route.
Starting at Incheon Station
Use Incheon Station, served by metro line 1 and the Suin-Bundang Line, as the starting point. Incheon Tour places the Chinatown gate opposite the station, while signs at Exit 1 point towards the Overseas Chinese Street and Freedom Park. The route can therefore begin at the station without assuming a particular hotel location.
1. From Chinatown to Freedom Park
Walk through Chinatown after passing the gate, then follow the uphill streets towards Freedom Park. Chinatown is not a single attraction with one closing time, so the length of this section can be adjusted around museum last admission and the Wolmi Sea Train timetable.
The Gonghwachun restaurant now in operation and the Jjajangmyeon Museum in the former Gonghwachun building are separate places. The museum should not be mistaken for the restaurant, and the present restaurant should not be described as the place where jjajangmyeon was first made.
2. Freedom Park and the old treaty-port streets
Freedom Park stands on the hill between Chinatown and the old treaty-port streets. The park is always open, but the museums on the next part of the route keep fixed hours. Check that admission is still possible before extending the park visit.

Use Incheon Open Port Museum as the anchor for the exhibition venues in the surrounding streets. Five museums operated by the Jemulpo Cultural Foundation can be covered by a combined ticket, but this itinerary does not require visiting all five. Choose one or two according to your interests so that enough time remains for Sinpo Market and Wolmido.
3. A meal at Sinpo International Market
Walk from the old treaty-port streets to Sinpo International Market and use this stop for the day's meal. The market's general hours may differ from those of individual shops, so check the latest information if you intend to visit a particular business.
Sinpo Sundae, included in the existing Incheon food guide, is one option near the market. Gonghwachun is an alternative if you prefer to eat in Chinatown, but choosing one of the two is more practical than placing both in the same day.
4. Taking the Wolmi Sea Train to Wolmido
No official walking route from Sinpo Market to Wolmido was confirmed. Use a map app to find the day's route back towards Incheon Station and Wolmi Sea Station, or take one of the buses listed from the station area to the Wolmi Park stop.
The Wolmi Sea Train links four stations around Wolmido. The ticket allows one same-day reboarding, so you can leave the train at Wolmi Culture Street or Wolmi Park and later return to Wolmi Sea Station. Official pages differ by several minutes on the final departure, so use the Incheon Transit Corporation timetable for the date of your visit.
5. Ending the day on Wolmido
Wolmi Culture Street and Wolmi Park offer different ways to use the final part of the day. Concentrate on one according to the time left and your interests, and return to the station before the final service if you plan to travel back by train.
Buses from the Incheon Station area to the Wolmi Park stop provide an alternative when the train has finished or is suspended because of the weather. In that case, remove the full train circuit and reboarding plan, then adjust the time spent on Wolmido.
If you only have half a day
For a half-day version, leave out the Wolmi Sea Train and Wolmido. Walk from Incheon Station through Chinatown, Freedom Park and the old treaty-port streets to Sinpo International Market. Choosing one museum rather than several leaves enough time for a meal within a shorter walking route.
What to check before leaving
Check the museums' Monday closure and last-admission time, Sinpo International Market's first-Monday closure, and the Wolmi Sea Train's seasonal and day-specific timetable separately. Holiday rules can shift the next closure day, so use the operating body's notice for your actual visit date.

Are the Gonghwachun restaurant and the Jjajangmyeon Museum the same place?
No. The museum occupies the former Gonghwachun building, while the Gonghwachun restaurant now in operation has a separate address. Do not treat the restaurant, museum and former building as one location.
Is driving more convenient for this route?
The treaty-port section continues on foot from Incheon Station, and parking is difficult on the old treaty-port streets. Freedom Park has paid public parking, but this itinerary is designed around public transport and walking.
