Accessibility and facilities
The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain runs along both sides of Banpo Bridge, 1,140 m in total — 570 m upstream and 570 m down — and the operator states it was registered in 2008 as the longest bridge fountain in the world. It runs April to October, four or five times a day, on a schedule that differs between the busy and quiet seasons.
Sebitseom is a set of artificial islands built to float on the river: Chavitseom, Gavitseom and Solvitseom, plus Yevitseom, an open-air stage. Between them they hold a convenience store, a floating restaurant, a bakery café, a rooftop viewing deck and water-sports facilities including yachts and kayaks. Seraeseom is an artificial island from the 1980s Han River development, joined to the park by three Seorae bridges, with a rapeseed-flower festival in spring and a buckwheat-flower festival in autumn.
At the south end of Dongjak Bridge there is a viewing platform and two bridge cafés — Cloud Café upstream, Sunset Café down. Jamsu Bridge has had its roadway narrowed and its pavement widened so that people can walk close to the water, and a car-free bridge festival is held there in spring and autumn. The cycle path and the walking path are separated along 7.2 km and connect to Yeouido and Jamwon Hangang Parks; Jamsu Bridge carries a bicycle-only lane, so it can be ridden across to the north bank. The park also has a water-play area, an inline-skating hub, and football, basketball, badminton and fitness facilities.

A residential pocket straddling Banpo 4-dong and Bangbaebon-dong in Seocho-gu. French families settled here after the French school of Seoul moved to the area in 1985, and other foreign residents followed, so the lanes carry small European-style bakeries, bistros and cafés — places that serve the people who live here rather than visitors. Montmartre Park sits on the hill above. Come for an hour of walking a residential Seoul that most itineraries never reach, not for a sight to tick off.
National Museum of Korea
Two closure rules, not one, and they are not the same thing: the museum itself shuts on only three days a year, while the permanent galleries take a quarterly Monday off with the garden still open. Wednesday and Saturday run to 21:00 — the only evenings you can see this place without daylight pressure.
