What is the best time to visit Gwangalli?
After dark. The beach faces Gwangan Bridge, whose lighting changes colour, and the promenade is built around that view — arriving about an hour before sunset works well.
Gwangalli or Haeundae?
Haeundae is larger and better known and better in the afternoon. Gwangalli faces the lit bridge and is better in the evening. They are about fifteen minutes apart by subway.
Can you swim there?
In the official season, when supervision and zoning are in place. Those dates are set annually, so check before planning a swim — the beach itself is open regardless.
