Apsan Observatory

The viewing platform above Daegu, looking down over the whole city. There are two ways up: the cable car from Keungol, about fifteen minutes, or the trail from Anjiranggol, about an hour on foot. Daegu's own tourism office describes the building as architecture that brings the city together with the mountain behind it. Because Apsan is reachable from the city centre by public transport, a traveller with one day in Daegu can still see how the place is laid out.

How do I get up to the observatory?
The district gives two ways. The cable car from Keungol reaches the observatory in about fifteen minutes; walking up from Anjiranggol takes about an hour. Its trail table puts the Anjiranggol entrance to the observatory by way of Anilsa at 2.5 km and one hour, and the Keungol entrance to the observatory by way of the cable car at 3.2 km and forty minutes.
