Three Places to Visit in Seongsu: Daelim Changgo, Amore Seongsu and LCDC SEOUL

Opening times are spread across 10:00 to 12:00 and closing times across 19:00 to 22:00. No two rows match, which is why visiting the earliest closer first is the rule here.

Four of the rows above are one building. The operator publishes separate hours per floor and adds "MON OFF / varies by tenant" beside the third.

So the answer to "is LCDC SEOUL open?" depends on the hour.

• 10:00 — the ground floor only
• 11:00 — floors 1, 2 and 4
• 12:00 — all four
• 19:00 — the third floor closes
• 20:00 — floors 1 and 2 close, leaving the fourth
• 21:00 — everything is shut

If you want all four floors, come between noon and 19:00. And because of that "varies by tenant" note, treat the third floor's 12:00–19:00 as a representative figure rather than a guarantee.

Take the window where all six rows are true. The latest opening is LCDC's third floor at 12:00, and the earliest closing is also LCDC's third floor, at 19:00. In between sits the fourth floor's break, 15:30–17:30.

Five hours in total, in two pieces. In practice that means one of two things: a mid-afternoon circuit of the three skips LCDC's fourth floor, or you put LCDC either side of the break — noon to 15:30, or 17:30 to 19:00 — to get all four floors.

On Mondays that window is zero. Amore Seongsu closes every Monday and LCDC's third floor closes as well. The rest of the building and Daelim Changgo run normally, so the district does not look shut — which is why you find out at the door.

The five hours are a figure no operator publishes. It comes from laying three timetables over one another, so it changes whenever any one of them does. Worth a quick check of each page before you set out.

For most visitors this is the actual reason to come to Seongsu.

• Daelim Changgo Gallery — a red-brick building used as a rice mill in the 1970s. It is a cafe and exhibition space now, and the operator says it kept as much of the original atmosphere as it could. The high ceiling and exposed frame are what is left of it.
• Amore Seongsu — the site was a workshop where broken cars were repaired. The uneven floor, the steps and the rough-finished walls are still there.

LCDC SEOUL makes no such claim. Its own pages say nothing about a previous use. The impression that every building in Seongsu is a converted factory is widespread, but of these three only two can be described that way.

To see all three in a day, go earliest closer first.

1. Amore Seongsu — opens 10:30, closes 20:30, closed every Monday. Leaving aside LCDC's third floor, which closes on its own schedule, it shuts earliest of the three, so it goes first.
2. LCDC SEOUL — to see all four floors, going in between noon and 15:30 is easiest. The fourth floor takes a break from 15:30 to 17:30, and the third floor closes at 19:00.
3. Daelim Changgo Gallery — open until 22:00, so it fits last, into the evening.

All three are in Seongdong-gu: Amore Seongsu at 7 Achasan-ro 11-gil, LCDC SEOUL at 10 Yeonmujang 17-gil, and Daelim Changgo Gallery at 78 Seongsui-ro. The nearest subway stations and exits have not been confirmed here, so look them up by address in a map app.

If you need to keep it short, see Amore Seongsu and LCDC SEOUL between noon and 15:30, and drop Daelim Changgo or come back to it in the evening.
