N Seoul Tower is Seoul's signature viewpoint, looking out over the whole city from Namsan. It's worth a visit any time of day, but the view is especially beautiful from sunset into the night.

How to get up

Namsan Cable Car — the most popular option, departing from the Myeongdong side.
Namsan Circular Bus — a cheap way to get near the summit.
On foot — a well-maintained walking trail all the way up, if you'd rather hike it.

Head up about 30 minutes before sunset to catch both the golden hour and the night skyline.

The observatory and around it

The tower's observation deck needs a separate ticket, around 29,000 KRW for adults (per the official website — prices can vary by season and promotion, so double-check before you go). The plaza at the base of the tower is free to enter and has the famous "love locks" and several photo spots.

Weekend evenings get busy. If the cable car line is long, the circular bus is a good backup.
